WHAT IS PHYSICAL THERAPY?

It's all about you. What are your goals? No one should tell you what you can and cannot do - what do you want? What does your ideal life look like?  Physical Therapy helps to get your moving with confidence and with a solid understanding of your body and how YOU can help yourself.

Imagine if you back hurt, and you knew what to do to make it feel better, without needing someone to help you?  This is the goal of Alison's practice.  Teach you how to self assess your body, learn HOW to help yourself FIRST - prior to turning taking medication or having to see a practitioner.

ABOUT ALISON SYNAKOWSKI,

Credentials: PT, DPT, OCS, AT

My goal is to empower you to take control of your life.  With over 15 years of experience I have found that an eclectic approach including education on the science of pain, extensive evaluation to understand a person's body, specific exercises to help your body to relearn and trust movement and manual therapy, works best to teach people they are in control of their destiny and to allow them to become the most important person in their healthcare.

I have also be extremely active with individuals with ACL tears in rehab.  I have experience with the Cross Bracing Protocol (non-surgical management aiming to HEAL ACL tears).  I am a big advocate of personal CHOICE of treatment and helping you along your journey.
